Know It All was created by ETV for K-12 students, teachers, and parents, Knowitall.org is a free online collection of resources designed for classroom use. This educational web portal contains interactive sites, simulations, image collections, virtual field trips and streaming video that support and provide quality inquiry-based experiences for students on the Internet.

Math Games 4 Children provides interactive games and printables for math. It is an enormous site that has online games by grade level, board games, quizzes, puzzles, power point games, and even tutorials. This is a must see site and one that I will be visiting often when I am in need of new math ideas.


 

E Maths

Crickweb

Crickweb has 206 free interactive resources for elementary level students. Many of the activities come from the BBC and are embedded directly on the Crickweb site. Every interactive has a thumbnail and brief description that should help you save time when searching.


 

Fling the Teacher

Fling the Teacher is a Flash-based interactive gameshow-style game that is downloadable for free. You can type in whatever questions you want and embed it into your blog or webpage. I used it for a week long orientation for my computer lab students. The kids loved it and many expressed interest in trying it by themselves.


 

Voki

Voki is a free service that allows you to create personalized speaking avatars and use them on your blog, profile, and in email messages. Teachers around the world have been using this with students for several years. Here is an example of one I created with a former President of the United States.

Primary Interactives is part of a bigger site called Primary Resources. The interactive page I linked here includes activities in math, english, and science. It also includes pattern and sorting games for kindergarten level students.

Decimal Squares offers eight decimal games which include 3 skill levels. Although this is a small site, it will be extremely useful when introducing this concept.


 

Study Ladder

Study Ladder is a free math and literacy program that is similar to paid sites like Study Island and Skills Tutor that are used at my school. Studyladder offers a sequential learning program with videos, interactive activities, worksheets and assessments for reporting to teachers and to parents.

They have over 4000 activities accessible 24 hours a day. There are fun rewards for children like avatars, certificates and special reward rooms. Study Ladder also has progress reports on school and homework results and over 2000 printable worksheets that can be used.
